What's Included: Day 1 - This is an all day type of thing!! We will start indoors with 2 wedding solo/couple models, a flat lay station with 2-3 different flat-lays for practicing and improving your flat lay photos (shoes, rings, ribbons, invitation suites, live florals all included), tablescape set up, cake station, headshots, and learning opportunities with a guided workbook to take home! Once we finish up at the venue we will take a break then meet up at the beach during sunset to photograph 2 couple models and 1 portrait/individual model! Day 3 - We will spend the morning on the beach!! 1 elopement couple model, 2 couple models, 1 portrait/individual model, and headshots

From pre wedding practices to the day of and all of the beautiful chaos it brings, this workshop will prepare and guide you to bring your business to the next level.

THERE'S WAY MORE TO IT THAN JUST TAKING PICTURES, BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN YOU HAVE TO FIGURE IT ALL OUT ALONE!
Maybe you're intimidated by the client-facing portion of the job and have no idea where to start with all of the pre-wedding communication, or maybe you'd like a little guidance with the mechanics of a wedding day itself and all the components of shooting a wedding in a way that tells the story of the day. We will cover both, with plenty of time for Q+A!

Why should I even do this? What's in it for me?
When getting started in the wedding and elopement world it is hard to find work to make a portfolio to be proud of so to help I create the staged elaborate weddings and elopements to catch the eye of potential clients. I do this by working with a team of vendors and a set of models to help bring the ideas to life. I take pride in organizing and attention to detail so that attendees can capture content in a dun and efficaite way. As the lead photographer will make sure everyone is rotating this way everyone is able to get the content you are hoping for.
As a Growing Photographer I believe in the power of community rather than competition therefore I seek to empower other photographers to have the same spirit of unity. I hope that after each shoot you feel inspired to grow and take your business to the next level. I also hope to help build relationships between other photographers to build relationships that last a lifetime rather than only the time spent at the event. To help, I'll create a group chat 1 month prior to the shoot. This way photographers are able to get to know each other and ask questions prior to the event.
WILL I GET INDIVIDUAL TIME WITH THE MODELS?
You bet! We split each shoot out into smaller groups to allow for individual posing/creativity. Within your group you will decide how you navigate that, but we do allow time for each person to get their time!
ARE THESE EVENTS FOR PROFESSIONALS OR BEGINNERS ONLY?
Girlllll my Styled Shoots are designed for creatives at all levels! Whether you are a newbie or a pro, these events are perfect for you! By joining us you are able to flex that creative muscle, pressure free! There is no pressure to produce images for anyone but yourself. You can break out all of the creative ideas you have wanted to capture without taking up time at a real wedding trying to figure it out. What you capture is able to grow your business. You are free to share anything from the shoot to give your presence a push in the direction you are wanting it to go! The connections you make with vendors and other creatives can be life long relationships! It is all in what you make it!
What is in it for me as a vendor?
As a vendor you never know what images you will see of your products. It can also be hard to be able to throw your creativity into a project that is specific to that event. Being paid for your product is fantastic, but sometimes producing the same things with little variation gets mundane, and this allows you to get creative and MULTIPLE images from the Styled Shoot participants!
Can my spouse, partner, or bff join?
I would be more than happy to have spouses/partners/bffs join us. For husband/wife or partner teams, I'm offering a $200 discount on the second seat to the workshop.
For partners who aren’t shooting but would like to join us for lunch and the bonfire night at the end of the evening, it’s $100/seat.
what does the cost include?
Cost of the workshop includes an entire day and half day of editorial content – # wedding/elopement styled shoot including details, # outdoor beach styled shoots plus lunch and a bonfire bonding night experience at the end of the evening.
Investment does not include travel, airport transfer or accommodations.
CAN VIDEOGRAPHERS ATTEND THESE EVENTS?
OF COURSE! I love having a variety of creatives attend my shoots. It gives vendors a variety of media to use for their advertising so I'm sure you will be the favorite! Please remember to speak up and tell us what movement shots you want because I know it can be a bit different!
IS MY TICKET REFUNDABLE? WHAT IF I CAN NO LONGER ATTEND AFTER I PURCHASE MY TICKET?
All tickets are final and non-refundable. If you purchase a ticket and can no longer attend you are encouraged to sell your ticket. If you need help with this let me know and I can recommend you a few facebook groups to post in!
What gear do I need to bring?
You are responsable for your gear and gear needs. If you typically need certain lenses, 2 camera bodies, flash or other accessories/attachments for a wedding/outdoor shoot please bring it! Better safe to bring it all than be sorry you left something at home!
Will the content retreat be rescheduled in case of rain?
In case of rain, we have both indoor and outdoor options to work with. Due to the nature of the workshop, actual styled shoots will not be rescheduled due to rain, however we have built a flexible schedule to allow for minor delays.
